Beliefs & Guideposts
-
Client needs and objectives should drive professional services.
-
A professional service provider is only as good as the work he or she does today.
-
It's not what a company makes, but what it keeps, that counts.
-
Taxpayers continue to have the right to arrange their affairs in a manner that reduces the amount of tax paid.
-
Proactive (yet not aggressive) management of state & local tax liabilities yields superior results over time.
-
Planning should fit squarely within each state's tax rules as opposed to attempting to claim a creative or strained interpretation.
-
The highest quality state tax planning solutions are tailored to a company's specific business facts & plans and are complementary thereto.
-
All planning modifications should be fully documented.
