Beliefs & Guideposts

  • Client needs and objectives should drive professional services.

  • A professional service provider is only as good as the work he or she does today.

  • It's not what a company makes, but what it keeps, that counts.

  • Taxpayers continue to have the right to arrange their affairs in a manner that reduces the amount of tax paid.

  • Proactive (yet not aggressive) management of state & local tax liabilities yields superior results over time.

  • Planning should fit squarely within each state's tax rules as opposed to attempting to claim a creative or strained interpretation.

  • The highest quality state tax planning solutions are tailored to a company's specific business facts & plans and are complementary thereto.

  • All planning modifications should be fully documented.
